Thanks for voting to help us choose a name. If you haven't voted, please do so! I'm officially 32 weeks pregnant and starting to feel it. My stomach feels a little tight from getting bigger and bigger. I feel like I'm going to be a walking elephant on back to school night in two weeks! Then I will waddle down the hallway with my 24 little 2nd graders. Ahh... The last few nights I have had some insomnia. I have woken up around 3:00 a.m. and gotten up for an hour or two, and then have gone back to bed. The nice thing is that I can sleep in until 8:30 or so. Soon I will have to get up extremely early and am just not looking forward to it. At least I have a five minute drive (have timed it) compared to a 35-40 minute drive last year!
I had my 32 week appointment yesterday and my doctor wants to do another three hour glucose test since I'm farther along in my pregnancy. Yuck. I actually cried in the doctor's office but I think it was because I was tired and the reality of school had started to sink in. I keep telling myself that it is just for six weeks at the most but I just wonder how uncomfortable I'm going to be during those six weeks. I CAN'T be grumpy the first few weeks of school. The one nice thing is that I was told that I have a very good class with wonderful parents. I hope they are okay with me not returning until January. Here is a picture of my growing belly... I'm a little afraid of how BIG it will actually get!

6 weeks- you can do it! I am sure your students and parents will be thrilled about your new little one. Good luck! We go back on Monday- ugh. It's going to be a shock to work the entire year this year. Those maternity leaves are a nice break- I think I will have to wait another 3 or 4 years for my next one. HOpe you can get some rest!

you may find you are recharged once back in school. Take care of yourself though. maternity leave is going to be so great!!
The kids in your class are going to be so excited for you! Six weeks isn't too long. Don't think of it as six weeks...it's six weekends.:-) (I know...quit being so annoyingly bubbly! Lol.)

I keep thinking that too! I can't imagine continuing to grow for the next three months!
I'm sure those six weeks will be fast and then you will be off with your little guy before you know it! Hopefully you will start sleeping better between now and then!
Hang in there Melissa! Your kids will LOVE that you are pregnant and will think it's great to hear stories about your new baby! The end goes fast. Are you taking any prenatal classes?
I am sure your kiddos and parents will love you AND look forward to you coming back! I'm just so happy for you and I'd dance, but that wouldn't be a pretty picture, so never mind that idea!!! Hang in there, Melissa! "You can do it!" ---I said that in my best "Waterboy" voice for ya!
